dougdrake
Can you be more specific? Who is your email provider? And are you saying they don't support Netscape as the email client, or that they don't support you using DSL to access your email? The Internet transport you use should be irrelevant to being able to pull your email down from a mail server. Or are you saying that Netscape is your email provider and you can't pull your email from them using your DSL connection? Pulling email usually isn't an issue -- it's sending email when you use an email provider other than your ISP that is sometimes the problem. That's because your ISP may block email traffic tied to servers other than its own to prevent spamming and such. Usually, though, if you set up a email account in your email client which polls the email account your ISP gave you (even if you don't plan to use that email account as your email address), it will authenticate you to your ISP as a legitimate user and allow you to send email to the world through its email server using your main email account. Sound confusing? It is. If this is the problem you are having, call your ISP and ask them for explicit instructions on how to pass email through their server if you are not using your email account with your ISP.
