Clipped and Shorn
Soldering is fun so I have another electronics project in mind. I have the transformers out of a working but discarded old Pilot mono Receiver which used a couple of KT-66s. I would like to build a mono push-pull (triode) KT-66 amplifier from scratch and scrounge and am looking for schematic ideas and or recommendations, something hip and up to date regarding sonic qualities. I am aware that the original Williamson was such an amplifier but if there are newer ideas or improvements I would like to know. Any ideas? fini
That does sound fun! Kind of like audio Stone Soup. Have you ever tried to solder your Finnegan? Are you thinking of putting this together in a mono system for 78s?
