BobbyT
Would it be an upgrade to replace RF, C, S 3-II setup with 4 RB75s and RC7?
MrMcGoo
It would be a major upgrade, provided you have a capable subwoofer. This also assumes that your elctronics will sound good on the more sensitive horn. The down side to better horns is that the rest of your system needs to be in good shape. The upside to your proposed upgrade is that muli-channel music and movies will sound better. One forum member, m00n, experimented with RB-75s against RC-7s. m00n went with RC-7s around the rear and RF-7s across the front. BobbyT
Thanks for the quick reply. This is part of a whole system upgrade. Since I'm one of the Yamaha+Klipsch fans I'm waiting on Yamaha to include i link on more of thier receivers. Then I will get a new receiver and universal player with this Klipsch setup. I've decided on a SVS PB12-ISD/2 for sub duties and probably a Sony 34" XBR TV. I'm a tube guy when it comes to video.
MrMcGoo
A universal player with i.link going to a receiver with i.link is wonderful. You have to hear it to appreciate it. I have Pioneer equipment with i.link. Take a look at the Pioneer VSX-56TXi or last years model, the 55TXi. Pioneer was the first to market both i.link and acoustic room correction. They have become the market leader that others are trying to compete againt with the better receivers. I doubt that i.link is going to migrate to the less expensive receivers. It is still considered as high end by the Japanese manufacturers. Bill
BobbyT
Well if Yamaha doesn't include i link on anything but the RXZ9 then Pioneer would be my next choice anyway. But it's good to hear from a Klipsch owner about how good Pioneer with i link sounds.
Audio Flynn
This also assumes that your elctronics will sound good on the more sensitive horn. +++++++++++++++ McGoo has given you a very sound item to consider. In some cases you can define another poor component in your system very quickly.

Help from you guys pointing out things I don't think to look or listen for. Mr McGoo if you play a CD over i link does the Pioneer play it in 2 channel automatically or does it apply DPL2x to it?
