gamer
I was just listening to music and decided since I had some speaker stands left over from my old speakers I would try one with my subwoofer. I placed the sub on the stand thats about 18" tall; let me tell you this made a big improvement. The sound is room filling and took away the "SWEET SPOT". Im currently using a JBL PSW 1200 (12" woofer) and I know alot you have a better sub than the one Ive got. For fun try this and see if this helps you out as it did me. Music is playing in the background and let me tell you its sounding awesome.

gamer
Its facing forward and aimed up at about a 10 degree angle. If you dont have a speaker stand try anything you can put it on and see if it would be worth it for you to buy a stand. It did look a little funky up as high as I had it but I figured Id live with it since it sounded so much better. But know the stand is shorter and it actually made my system look a little more trick. If you try it let me know if it helps you out.
