KCM Posted February 6, 2005 Share Posted February 6, 2005 I recently bought a pair of Altec 511B horns to use with my La Scala's. I have new Type A networks using 3619 transformers. I would like to attenuate the squawkers, but I know it's not a simple matter of changing taps. Am I correct in thinking I can either change the squawker cap value or add a swamping resistor between taps 5-x ? I had a pair of ALK's to play with for the last week or so, and found x-4 or 0-3 to be the best options. I'd like to duplicate these settings with my Type A's.
