kenratboy Posted March 23, 2005 Share Posted March 23, 2005 I have heard you should try both (especially if some speakers are farther away than others, 1 meter doesn't do much good!) - but not sure what is the best way to do this. BTW, I have the Rat Shack SPL meter ('The' meter) and the receiver has a built in tone generator (and I can also use the THX Optomiser, I have yet to get a calibration DVD) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

colterphoto1 Posted March 23, 2005 Share Posted March 23, 2005 listening position, read the manual with meter, I believe it says to hold meter (preferably on a stand) at RIGHT ANGLES to the sound source, but check manual first.
