neo33
Anyone here own one? It's a cool multimedia hand-held device. Though the sound really sucks! I think it must have Bose built-in.
customsteve01
A guy here at work bought one and I thought it was really cool. Didn't get to mess around with it too much, but enough to make me want to go get one. I just need the cash now. Steve
Professor.Ham.Slap
It's an ok device... As was stated the sound isn't all that great at all, but the LCD in there is really great. I think it's biggest downfall is the battery life, which is downright awful.
customsteve01
What is the battery life? I did look for that but couldn't find anything about it. I would want it to last about 3 hours, is that a pipe dream??? Steve
kenratboy
My friend has one...we played it plugged into the wall (defeats the purpose!). AMAZING screen, good graphics, very fun. However for Sony, it fills a niche market which a lot of people are not part of.
kenratboy
neo33: - that is one amazing system you have there, all THREE. You like those McIntosh speakers?
Scp53
My friend has one of these and its pretty cool. He got Spiderman 2 with it and the movie quality is quite impressive. The only problem that I saw was "ghosting" because its a LCD. As for the sound, i had headphones so I think it sounded much better than the speakers built in. I think this thing has much more potential than an ipod does for music. but id spend my on audio far before this kind of stuff. scp53
Shade
A co-worker brought one in Saturday. I got to play the Need for Speed Undergound game they have for it, and was pretty impressed with the graphics. 2 downsides though. 1st while it supports MP3 playback, you have to convert it to Sony's format first and then put it on a memory stick. 2nd while the option to watch movies on it is pretty cool, you can buy a DVD for the same price as one of Sony's discs. That aside, for gaming it's impressive, and has far better graphics than the Nintendo DS. customsteve01 : You shouldn't have a problem with battery life. My co-worker mentioned he got about 3-4 hrs with it.
nicholtl
My roommate has one. It's pretty neat. One of those "must-have gadgets" if you're the type who reads Maxim and must be tirelessly "in."
