RJNB
I just received my KSW 12 today, and was extremely excited to hook it up, until I heard the odd popping sound whenever the woofer hits. I've tried all music ranging from Classical, to Hip Hop, to Alternative and it still maintains a pop every time the woofer extends. I've found that when I position the subwoofer so that it faces upward that the pop tends to virtually disappear, but this is what I hope is a temporary option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. buylow
I've had my KSW-12 since May. I had an unrelated problem and returned the sub to my dealer. He exchanged it on the spot and I've had no more problems. I'd suggest you do the same. ------------------ Mains: RF-3 Center: RC-3 Rears: RS-3 Sub: KSW-12 A/V Receiver: Yamaha HTR-5250 DVD Player: Yamaha DV-6280 CD Player: Yamaha CDC-506 VCR: Toshiba TV: Toshiba 55" Projection

TheEAR
I have the Klipsch KSW12,its a good inexpensive sub.And it has no problems even at high volumes, only when pushed to very high levels does it begin to lose control. I even treated the woofer sourround with mink oil! This way the sourround will not crack with time as fast. I also got the KSW15,great sub for the price(got a real deal). Both are recomended The sub you have must have a driver problem. The place where you purchased the sub must exchange the defective unit.
