danaarondrum
Best Buy has a $100.00 instant savings on the Sub-12 and a $150.00 instant savings on the Sub-10 right now.....should I get one Sub-12 or two Sub-10s. Current system.....F-3s front...F-2-s rear....C-3 center Thanks
michael hurd
Well, the 12 should play a little bit lower, dual 10's should achieve the same volume level. Given the choice, I would probably stick with one 12" model. Can you try it out, and return it within a certain time period? If you could do this, then buy the 10". If you find it performs to your expectations, you don't have to return it, consider your shopping done. if you want a little more output, try the 12" model. danaarondrum
My mistake. The Best Buy in Palmdale had price tags for the KSW-10 and the KSW-12 sitting on the Sub-10 and the Sub-12 respectively. Both $150.00 instant savings. I didn't realize the error until I went to check out and the price was $499.99. Without much of a fuss they gave me $75.00 off. Still working with the positioning of the sub to find a good sound. Movies sound great right now but music is not quite there yet. Im starting to wonder if I did the right thing considering my setup. The F-3s already get great low frequency response.
IAmtnbikr
I would think once you get things worked out you will be happy. I just got my Sub-12 and have it with RF-25 fronts, RC-25 center and RS-35 surrounds. Got them to knock $50 off with no problem. I am more than happy with it, and have all speakers set to small with the crossover at 80hz. I had a KSW-12 and never was happy with it, and sold it to get a BIC H-100 which also uses a BASH amp, but is 150w RMS and 500w dynamic, and is front-firing. To me, the new Sub-12 is a huge improvement over the KSW, and without major placement tweaks yet attempted, sounds as good as the BIC did. Most likely I am going to sell the BIC....it's just too much to put out in the shop, lol....
