Shaggy and Scooby
I found what I thought was a good deal on a Kenwood VR-3090 receiver. It came with a remote and I thought it would be a decent everyday home theater reciever. Upon getting it home I found out the remote was for a different model. The actual remote is in the $300 plus dollar range. Is it possible to get a palm pilot based remote control to work with this receiver. I noticed that everything is pretty much interactive on the original remote. All the surround functions, speaker setup, etc. all on the remote screen not the receiver I would like a cheaper alternative if possible. I might just end up selling it if I have to spend $300 for a remote that my kids will trash in 3 seconds. Help this will be my first dolby digital receiver so I am a bit excited. ironwoods
Hi, was this a new or used purchase? I didn't realize Kenwood had *anything* in the $300+ range. Could this have been a typo? -$30.00,$300.
Shaggy and Scooby
Yes it was a used unit. I did'nt think Kenwood had anything that cost over $300.00 either. I was shocked to find out that the remote was going to cost as much as 99% of there product line. I did'nt pay much for it so I can wait until I find something that will work as it has alot of potential for a beater.
