paulk
Ok guys pricing aside which system would be better for 90% movies 10% music. The front speakers are going behind an acoustically transparent screen. System 1 Ultra 2 3 KL-650 for fronts 2 KS-525 for sides 2 KL-525 for rears System 2 Reference 7 3 RF-7 for fronts 2 RS-7 for sides 2 RB-75 for rears I will be using an SVS sub no matter which system I choose. If anybody has any experience with these two systems (or close to it) please let me know. Thanks in advance Paul

ottscay
From what I've read, for HT the Ultra 2 is the way to go. Although I can asure you that the Ref 7 series is no slouch for home theater. Scott
jzoz01
I faced the same decision a few months ago and finally deceided on a little of both. I did the RF7 mains, RC7, and RS7s mated with (2) Ultra 2 subs and have been vary happy. I will admit that I liked the Ultra 2 beter for movies, but the RF7s rocked them in music. Both are excellent speakers although the Ultra 2 also has the cool factor going for it because it is fairly rare.
paulk
Ok what if I did 3 RF-7s across the front and the Ultra 2 for the surrounds would that sound any good? Paul
H1HUMMER
Hi Paul, IMHO THX Ultra2 system all the way. We purchased our 7.1 configuration on March 2005 BUT have not even tested them yet :-( We have PICS of the BEASTS on our website. They are "Lord of the Horns". They've only been out of the box for photographs. Looking to do a full review writeup near the end of the year once we locate the rest of our HT equipment. Hopefully sooner but for now they are on standby.
