oogins
I got a pamphlet from my Klipsch dealer saying the RF3's can handle 225 watts. It also says that in the downloadable manual from this site. But in the specs posted here, it says it only handles 150 watts. So which is it, 150 or 225 watts? ------------------ -Paul AMD T-Bird 900 Asus A7V Micron 256 MB PC-133 IBM 30 GB 7200 rpm ATA 100 Pioneer DVD-105 Slot-Load (16X/40X) 3Dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II NEC MultiSync M700 17" (soon to be Sony G400 19") Razor Boomslang 2000 w/Everglide Giganta These speakers are for my computer, not a HT Receiver: Kenwood VR-409 (soon to be Denon AVR-2802) Speakers: Klipsch Quintets (5 sats. + center) Sub: Sony SA-W305 mini-sub (soon to be HSU Research VTF-2 or Paradigm PW-2200)
boa12
oog, you're probably wanting to hear from klipsch on this, but yea my manual that came w/ the speakers says 225W max continuous, 600W peak. i've been drivin 'em w/ a vintage '75 kenwood rated @ 160WX2 continuous w/ no problems. they can easily take what this beast can deliver when cranked to the ear bleed levels. Guest JimG
The correct answer is 150 watts. As stated in some other threads a while back, 225 watts was a mistake that ended up in a lot of places. Jim
boa12
still 600W peak though maybe i better be a lil careful w/ my kenwood. it's 160WX2 but has watt meters that go to only 200W. noticed the needles are a lil bent
