Daddy Dee
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5790646664 Looks sweet, but a new one on me. Any thoughts?
Parrot
The "36 watts" is for peak rating, 28W for continuous power (supposedly). This figure is for both channels added together, so it's actually a 14W receiver by conventional standards. And I'd be a little surprised if it could really yield 14W well. intotubes
A great deal for $250. Wonder what it will go for?
NOSValves
Boy I have never seen that one pop up before. Looks interesting. Who know how well it really would work?
Daddy Dee
I can't tell what kind of tubes are in it. EL84's maybe. I think that's close in power to the HF-81. Don't be chivalrous, anyone who'd want to bid for it. I'm not in it, just curious.
Daddy Dee
http://users.rcn.com/fiddler.interport/2036.HTM Here's a URL for info on the integrated amp which is the basis of this receiver. It is EL84 based and tube rectified. 1959 vintage. I've never heard anyone speak of Eico speakers either. The sellers quote for shipping is more than reasonable. Looking more closely at the pictures on the auction, I notice that the receiver has a tuning eye tube next to the fm dial. This is very cool.
