TFT
Are there modification that have been tried on the CF3 series speakers that would enhance the mid bass through the vocal range when raising the volume to higher levels. The horns tend to be a bit to overwelming around 90 DB. I am tring to avoid installing an EQ. The only thought that I have had is to shade the driver with wire wraped load resistors. Any thoughts would be appriciated. Thanks TFT
rowooo
TFT...Without screwing with the crossover I really don't know what you could do in that case. More or less your looking to fill in the sound between the extremes. I have CF-2's which sport two 8's instead of 10's on the 3's and I'm really happy with the sound throughout the spectrum. I don't know if taming your horns a tad would do a sufficient enough job. What amp are you using? Other components? Keep us updated..Later
Guest BobG
Try less toe in. Are the speakers pointing directly at your listening position or are they set up to cross far behind you? This will change the HF character.
