Kudret Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 What's the reason a zero feedback seller would sell in a private auction on eBay ("User ID kept private" and you cannot see the bidders). Daddy Dee Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 It raises red flags for me, too. Could be someone, not too saavy, who just clicks on the features because they are available. If it was an item I was really interested in I'd contact the seller to make sure I the situation smelled o.k. before bidding. There was another recent auction for a Meridian 508.24 which sold for more that it usually sells on Audiogon. Since bidders identity is not shown you never know who is bidding on it to jack up the price? Can the seller himself bid on his own auctions?
