SCOOTERDOG
I am done with the framing on the 26' long wall. I am at the point to which I have to make a choice on whether to build the the column as part of the framed wall or make it free standing and have it butted up against the finished wall. Regardless which way I go I will still need to built one free standing column for the other side on the pre existing wall. IndyKlipschFan
Just make them the same... where in the room are they located....??
SCOOTERDOG
They will be 14' back from the stage on each side. They will house the Heresy side surrounds about 3' up from the floor and the top 12" will be lighted sconses. I am also thinking about using MDF instead of a hardwood so I can paint it the same colors as the walls. It would be less work then to drywll it since I have to make two. scooter
IndyKlipschFan
Good idea on making them the same color if you want them to dissapear some in the walls. I bought some light sconces at Menard's for I think 24 dollars. These are the same ones in the HT catalogs for over 200 a piece. Put like a 25 watt bulb in them and use a good dimmer for effect.
