michael hurd
Here is a link to a Canadian loudspeaker manufactuer in Chateauguay, Quebec. They manufacture raw loudspeaker drivers like Eminence does, finished systems for install, club sound, and churches. http://www.tr.ca/ Worthwhile poking around the site, they have some interesting products. michael hurd
Modeling some of their raw loudspeakers drivers in Win-ISD, came up with an efficient 15" model that does 40-400 hz nice. A 6.5 cubic foot box, tuned to 40 hz that can theoretically do 124 db without exceeding x-max at a drive level of 500 watts. A 13 cubic foot box with 2 of those drivers could theoretically do 130 db with a 1 kw drive level, again still without exceeding x-max at any frequency above 35 hz. Even factoring in 5 db of thermal compression, that would be 125 db for one cabinet.

michael hurd
RCF product specs look good, what kind of $$ though. The LF15G401is pretty nice, xmax is shorter than the 15B-1200.
michael hurd
RCF is available in Canada through Audio Distributors International, in Boucherville, PQ. Perhaps I should get in touch with them for product and pricing info. Edit: looks like they are an importer/wholesaler, and do not sell to the public, instead I'd have to go through a dealer.
