NKDA
What is rich text? How do I install it in my computer or whatever I have to do to use it. I have a dell w/microsoft (xp/millennium?) - I forget the name of the version. Can I get it from the Microsoft downloads website? I've read several posts on hyperlinks and would definitely like to use it when referring to a website, rather than letting the reader cut and paste to the address bar. Thanks for any help. TommyC
What is it? It is actually just ASCII with special commands to indicate formatting. It is a Microsoft developed format that I always assumed was automatically installed with any of the later Windows versions. There are third party RTF Editing programs out there, though. I guess I am just not connecting your question with what you want to accomplish in my mind...

(I'm not actually at my home computer right now, so it may/may not post as a hyperlink.) Clearer???
