4.1's or 5.1's

Here in Australia we finally have the ability to buy promedias, the 4.1's are selling for about 650(AUD), while the 5.1's are just below a grand.

Which would people recommend getting ?, I can afford the 5.1 series, however is the 300+ extra justified ?.

Well its rather simple to answer if...

WILL YOU USE THE SPEAKERS FOR DVD's? If YES and YOU will use the DVD often then GET THE 5.1.

If NO then....save the money and get the 4.1.

Also know the 5.1's have a better subwoofer,its a true subwoofer.The twin 8" drivers equiped sub does deliver better bass(not just louder).

Hmm thanks for the info.

Still a tough choice, though I normally don't watch DVD's through my comp (have a excellent setup in the lounge room), I might go for the 5.1's, just incase I get booted from the lounge room (don't you love kids ).
