Rage Posted October 23, 2001 Share Posted October 23, 2001 Hello Support I have been a avid Klipsch fan through the years. I have had everything from my Heresy 11's too my 4 Chorus's. But my Pro Media's have been more headache than joy. My 1st set that I just returned almost lit my house on fire.The Subwoofer was blowing smoke like a fog machine. If it would have been left unattended .I would have lost my house. My replacement set which is brand new causes some much interference with my monitor that no matter where I place them it dosen't rectify the matter. This set is only 3 dayz old. And becuase it's a replacement for the ones that caught fire. I'm left holding 299.99 of speakers that are burden. When I brought the Pro Media's I thought I was buying something that upheld the Klipsch tradition. I honestly say I couldn't recommend to anyone. Have the Pro Media's been fully tested? If so what can I do with these 4.1's that are causing some major problems with my system. I have called Klipsch 5 timea and sent several emails. But this set is causing major bleeds in my monitor and the left channel cracks and hiss's. What do you do keep returning them till you get a good set. I've seen people on this BB that are on their 4th set already. Thats one thing you didnt read about in the Pc Gaming Reviews rated them as a dream. TheEAR Posted November 6, 2001 Share Posted November 6, 2001 rage you are the second to have a smoking hot sub! I would never go thru 4 sets,with me its three strikes and OUT FOR life. So far only Altec(ATP5) gave me 3 defective sets(died all in less than 4 months!).I dont need to tell you but I got a credit.I will never get set number four. One last thing bad luck is not only part of the ProMedia speaker sets,Altec,VideoLogic and others have defective units too.
