darylroy
I am just completing my HT and i currently have the following: 2 rf35 2 rs35 1 sw -12 pioneer vsx1015tx My question is, am i better off getting the rc-35 to match my set or could i get away with the rc-25? The price difference is about 120.00. I am asking this because my wife said i only have 250.00 left. No exceptions!(ya right). Anyway, i could probably scrape up more money if i had to. What do you all think? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks again
Catharsis147
Darylroy, I would say there is a difference. I have owned every Reference center from the RC-25 up to the RC-7 (now all discontinued in the US) and can say that there is an improvement in dialogue from the RC-25 to the RC-35. Is it possible to save the money for an RC-7? Not to upsell you, but the price difference in minimal compared to the jump from the RC-35 to the RC-7. Anyway, I would say the RC-35 is a big enough jump to justify the cost, though if you can save for an RC-7 in the future, do that instead
darylroy
The rc-7 it is!! I have a secret credit card for times like this. Thanks for your feedback. I have heard the same thing in all the other forums. Although i have never heard it, if klipsch makes it, it must sound great.
coreyc
As I recall, The RC-7 has a very different tweeter than the RC-35 or 25. It might be a good idea to take a demo home & try some pans across your front 3, before you buy.
jdant
I just upgraded from the RC-3 to the RC-7 and what a difference!!! The RC-7 has the same tweeter as the RF-3's- it's just bigger with a bigger horn-same materials. I have the RF-3's too and they sound great together!!!
