robster
Howdy, I bought a refurbished Fisher 400 tube receiver and it's sitting, well placed, under my turntable Target platform shelf and the tubes are warming up my Neuance patform shelf. The Nueance is made of a formica covering. What type of tape can I put under the neuance shelf to deflect the heat some. Should I look in the automotive parts store? Cheers, Robert
Jay481985
A small fan or hmm how about a piece of sheet metal not directly on the formica but if you can place a few inches below

efzauner
99% of the heat will be convection as the hot air rises. Very little will be from reflection/radiation from the tubes. If the heat can still get out, I would not worry to much. As long as it is not uncomfortable to touch.
