Butler Amp experience

So as not to be completely duplicative, I posted my experience with the Butler 5-channel tube hybrid amp here:

http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/702211/ShowPost.aspx

They also have a three and two channel amps.

The short of it is, very very good results. The bad of it is, it really exposes any limitations I have in the rest of the chain; like noise from the DVD player and pre-amp. Really good stuff, that completely woke-up my LaScalas.

The only component noisier than an HT preamp is an HT reciver.

Too many DAC and DSP chips making allot of distortion.

You are finding out experiences similar to many of us in the 2 channel forum.

Yes, and a HT reciever is what it is... Hmm. Thanx for that. I haven't had enough time to devote to catching up with reading of threads on this site so I appreaciate the summary. [most of my reading has been focused on tube amp, horn tech, or crossover related threads]

You saying that makes the comments I hear all over on numerous message boards regarding the low noise floor of the Outlaw processors all the more poignant.

thanx,

steve
