Cornman
I recently picked up this tube tester cheeply at a thrift store, seems to work ok. My question is should I keep it or sell it? I hope to soon own tube gear, & as a beginner in the tube world I dont know how useful this tester might be or not be for me. Thanks,
NOSValves
The 667 would be a good tester for a casual tube user. It basically test tubes for good, bad, short and leakage. It has a great shorts/leakge testing feature which I use one for exclusively. It also has the ability to test just about any tube made. But to use for say matching tubes it pretty worthless. I'd say keep it because to get some top notch calibrated tester be ready to spend $600 to a $1000. With all testers how useful they are depends on if they are calibrated properly.
