picky Posted April 4, 2006 Author Share Posted April 4, 2006 I got the speaker brackets mounted on the wall on Sunday and the EICO ST-70 arrived yesterday. The guy had it all double-boxed and well padded so it arrived in great condition from Minnesota. It's one, heavy mutha! It's been pretty cold here these last couple of days (remember, we're talking un-heated garage here), so I will wait another day or two before I try wiring up the Heresy III's to the EICO and fire it up. I may be calling Craig when I do. This thing has both high and low level inputs and I am studying the manual so that I make the right choice when I connect my CD player to it. I'm quite impressed with the technical level this manual was written in. It's like reading one of my old college electronics books. The early tube amps were a lot more sophisticated than I ever imagined! I am quite impressed with what I've seen so far. It's no wonder to me any longer why you guys all love tubes.
