khorns for sale in the Twin Cities

Recommended Posts

Since they are 33 years old and have tweeters sitting on top of the cabinet, I asked the seller if any of the components have been upgraded or if they still have the old style circa 1973 drivers and crossovers in them.

Yesterday he replied:

"Hi,

I have owned them since 1977. I have not made any changes to the drivers or crossovers and I do not believe the original owner did either. I remember him telling me that the crossovers were better than the ones being put in newer Klipschorns. He did make the black holders for the tweeters and set them on the top back of the speakers -- he felt this aligned the drivers of the tweeters to the drivers of the mid-range horns. If you cannot tell the difference, they can be remounted behind the black fabric above the midrange horns.

Regards,

Dan"
