tbone3933
Hi guys, if there are any klf 20 owners out there I need your help. I just recently bid on a pair of klf 20's on ebay & I just noticed something on the picture of the speakers that I am a little concerned about. At the bottom rear of the speakers there are two holes that I believe are ports. The problem is that you can see into the bottom of the speaker. I can actually see wires hanging down. Can anyone tell me if this is normal on the 20's. The only other pictures I have been able to find on the internet have been of klf 30's & there appears to be a black tube in the port holes. Should there also be black tubes in the 20's? Any replies will help me determine if these 20's are ok to take a chance on. Thanx
Fish
I looked at the rear of my 20's.I can see the black/red wires through the ports. It looks like the wires from the binding post are just a little xtra long as they don't go to the bottom of the cab.. I checked out the ebay 20's recently sold, they had a little longer wires than mine but I'd say they're ok.
billyjoe72
It's normal. I have two sets and all four are like that. No sweat. toodles
Jay L
its perfectly normal, mine have that too. i wouldn't worry about it unless the speakers make a funny whistling.
scotrajode
Mine are the same except the bottom of the inside of the speaker is painted black so that it does not look like raw wood inside. Mine are black satin and built at the end of 2000
