jackpod
I have a McIntosh C39 Preamp that has rear channel ambience for 2 channel sound. I have used this for years on my 2 ch system. Now that I have Belle's what would be a good speaker to use for the rear ch ambience. I would imagine something with high effiency to match the Belles. I usually run about 16ms delay and of course minimal volume levels. Any ideas? Jack

Erik Mandaville
I think a Heresy might be worth trying. Erik
Hardhead
Heresys would do, but Belles would be the closest match. Getting a pair of Klipschorns and putting them up front and using the Belles for ambience would be even better. Remember to stay with the Heritage line. jackpod
I would love to get my hands on a pair of Khorns, I have the perfect corners, 5ft from corner to window on each side, each corner. Jack

sfogg
Jack, How close is your listening position to the rear speakers? How close are you to the rear wall? How many seats do you need to cover? Shawn
jackpod
Shawn, The room is 30'x30'. My seat is in the middle about 21' back, so 9' from the back wall, which would put the rears at an angle 15' on each side. the room has 2 couches and 3 recliners in a half circle. I have a 110" diag screen and an lcd projector in the room as well. Currently I have a different system for the 7.1 (Paradigm Studio Reference, Anthem Electronics) I only use the Belles for 2 channel audio (wish I could afford to have Belles all the way around) Mostly for audio, it is only me, the additional seating is for movies Jack
