I definately got a lemon. Refurbished my ***!

I thought I was all set after the HK tech had me reset the unit and the rears started to work again ...Not! They worked long enough for me to hang up. The front speakers are so full sounding and efficient it's hard to tell when the rears stop working. I reset the 510 a few more times myself but nothing. I saw on audioreviews that this particular model had major reliability problems before 11/00 ...although the HK tech says that's not true. In 11/00 they supposedly addressed most of them including updating the remote. Mine was made in 10/00. Looking on the back of yours EQ_shad and see when it was made.

I just called HK back again and the rears decide to work while I'm on with the tech. He told me that all they can do is warrantee it at a local repair shop. That's no good because I'll be out a reciever for god knows how long and when I do get it back it will inevitably have the same problems.

I guess I bite the shipping bullet and send it back to Ubid. It cost me $46 to get it here!

Ok, guys now I see why you buy from a local dealer and pay a little more. cwm23.gif
