awsjr Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 I am using the cayin for home theater too.....with an Outlaw 1050.....I don't use a sub.... mullard makes the el37.....they can be labeled phillips minwatt too.... other power tubes I have and tried: mullard el34 xf1 amperex el34 metal base gec / genalex kt66 if you want to try any of them including el37 give me a call..... Things should smooth out even more, a little more bass and detail. Have you considered a 5751 in place of your X7? I've tried both TS and LPS X7's but I prefer the easy to find JAN GE 5751 in my pre.
