dubai2000
I know I have asked this before, but: a) I didn't copy the answer and the search function doesn't seem to work []. So here we go again: currently I use the EV-120 horn with K-55, I am planning to use some JBL's (2470) instead and need the proper adaptor. I had a look at partsexpress and I think I have found the right model: Selenium ADM 25-25 (sorry, couldn't paste a link - due to Firefox?). The description reads: adapts a 2-bolt or 3-bolt 1" throat driver to a 1-3/8"-18 TPI horn lens. Can somebody please confirm my choice. Thanks in advance. colterphoto1
Well if they are built like the ADF25-25 (which we use for K55 driver to Altec 511 horn), they have three holes drilled in them, plus markings for where to drill for the two hole pattern. Problem is, I did that and the plastic there has no reinforcement, so when you get the bolts down tight, the adapter is slightly bent. Some have taken to drilling out the flange in the horn for the three hole pattern, it makes a more stable mounting. Hope this helps. dubai2000
Thanks for the input. Duke, yes, I like this horn a lot and definitely prefer it to the K400 - much smoother sounding and - to my ears - more open and natural. Michael, thanks for pointing out the weak point of the adaptor you use....and I am sure the one I have in mind will be similar. BTW: with IE the link seems to work....so a quick confirmation would be appreciated - Thanks. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=264-323 Wolfram
hwatkins
No gaurantee, but should work - looks like it covers the bases, and if not you could drill and seal.
