DVD Video Connection

The benefit comes if you have mutiple video sources and you want to feed them all into your TV over a single input. The receiver can switch the source for you, allowing you to use that single input to the TV. It is helpful if you only have one video input on the TV, or if you don't want to mess with selecting the video input on the TV when you change from DVD to VCR, for example. You just select it once on the receiver and it's done.

This will only work if your various video sources are all using the same type of connection (composite, s-video, component) or can at least be converted to the same type of connection.

I hope this was helpful.
