Bonzo
I have looked but can't seem to find the crossover points for the Chorus II or the RF-7. Any help would be appreciated.
DrWho
The RF-7 crosses over at 2200Hz: http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=362&s=specs I'm not too sure about the Chorus II, but I wanna say somewhere between 600 and 800Hz for the squaker/woofer and then 5kHz for the squaker/tweeter. Bonzo
Thanks Who, I was guessing the woofer would cross at around 600 to the mid on the CII. I was thinking the mid to tweeter was pretty high. That mid horn seems to cover a lot of range which it does nicely. I thought the RF-7 crossed a bit higher. Do you think they are asking too much of that compression driver? Thanks so much for the info.
DrWho
In which speaker? The RF-7? I don't think 2kHz to 20kHz is asking too much at all. And with the Chorus II there is a lot more range available on the squaker that isn't being taken advantage of (though it doesn't need to because the tweeter picks up in its sweet spot). If I have my facts straight, you could remove the low-pass filter on the squaker and disconnect the tweeter and get extension up to around 16kHz...
