Ullms
My receiver ,yamaha htr-5790, says it has a minimum rms handing of 110w watts. Will the Rsx-3 handle this power output????
wuzzzer
This link will give you all the specs you need: http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=874&s=specs Looks like the power handling is 160 watts peak. You shouldn't have a problem, just back off the volume if you hear audible distortion.
Jay481985
Make sure they are not from the ifi as they are different. No low end filter so bass will cause the speakers to distort like crazy.
Ullms
Isn't Peak & RMS different?
Ullms
What is IFI?
Jay481985
Where did you get the pair of rsx-3??? The ifi was a computer sound system 2.1 that used two rsx-2 and a 8 inch subwoofer. The rsx3 on the ifi is modified to not work with recievers. Unless you are using maximum power you should be fine, up to 100 dB you probably are using less than 4 watts
Ullms
I didn't purchase them yet. I'm trying to determine this stuff before. I will be buying them at Vanns.com, the Cinema 6 package and they are not the IFI set.
