defiant
Klipsch, is there a THX Ultra2 In-Wall Subwoofer (with integrated or separate amplifier) coming soon? Cause then it would create the most ideal whole In-Wall THX Ultra2 package!! silk smooth sound in unbeatable style!!! Bet it will bring some serious challange to RBH Sound In-Wall Signature series. Guys, what do u say 'bout Klipsch THX Ultra2 vs RBH Sound In-Wall Signature Series? TheEAR
As Jay said the current THX subs can be concealled and mounted in a wall, only the front facing in room. The woofer and port is front firing.Dual Klipsch THX subs will outperform not only the in wall RBH but also their larger in room units used in the reference towers packages they sell. Jay481985
Also by putting them in the wall you get more gain and depth.
defiant
thanks, the current KW-120-THX sub's difficult to mount in-wall cause of its size. anyone know whether klipsch will be releasing a THX sub like their new RW-5802 In-Wall Subwoofer soon? Small yet powerful. ________________________________________ www.audioholics.com
DrWho
I haven't heard of any small in-wall THX sub. Why can't you install the KW-120's in your wall? (http://www.thesoundbroker.com/packages.htm) Maybe a false wall might be in order?
Guest BobG
We have found no practical way to provide Ultra 2 level performance from an in-wall sub. Not ours, not anybody's.
colterphoto1
There looks to be a reference inwall being developed, if that's not letting the cat of the bag Bob. I would think it's nowhere near THX Ultra performance- think it's two 10" copper cones in a wall mount enclosure.
Jay481985
has anyone ever thought of making a danley size sub but not as deep to fit inside between studs in the wall?
TheSoundBroker
If you can afford a $3K sub...it isn't a stretch to have a carpenter move two studs. Heck, the thing is beefy enough to practically act as a structural member! First thing we did when we got our DTS-20 demo is measure to see what it will take to mount one in-wall and for those with a closet or space behind, it is no big deal. Does it outdo the Ultra 2 subs...which I do love...oh yes...you might say that []
