DrWho Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 So we just had our general meeting for the University of Illinios Chapter and I'm really looking forward to the upcomming school year. We totally rocked the room with Chorus II's and a 10W digital amp that we built last year. Man I love Klipsch. So far, we've got plans for touring all the local audio attractions / companies (still gotta see if Klipsch wants to give a tour) and then a crap load of workshops (subwoofer, amplifier, guitar pedal, speaker). We're also starting a recording project and working on getting a permanent room/studio setup on campus for the club [H] But I was wondering...a lot of people here are crazy about audio and I thought I'd see what y'all wish you coulda done or actually did back in college as it relates to audio. We opened the floor to suggestions last night and there was a lot of interest in building a car sound system to compete in SPL drag wars. I think it might be possible to cram a 50Hz horn in my Subaru and then we can port it to 50Hz too (which is the resonant frequency of the cabin). Anyways, just looking for ideas - the crazier the better cuz it'll help us win "Engineering Open House" (which gets us lots more funding).
