tonynorie
This is my first post on this site so I hope I follow protocol - I am considering the purchase of a KP-480 subwoofer but no one I know has used them. I would appreciate feedback from those on this site that have........ Our band plays bars and smaller clubs with 75-150 people average so I would like to get away with only one sub if possible - there are more available if I want them. We'll be running 3 vocals, acoustic guitar, drums through the p.a. What is a fair price? The subs are about 10 years old and I'm told they have 40 hours of use and are in good shape functionally and decent cosmetic condition. Thanks in advance for any input you can lend...... Guest " "
Hmmm, any chance the extras are located near NYC?
colterphoto1
Are the 480's the ones with forward facing woofer and passive in narrow horn shaped slot? They are about 2x2x2 feet and would fit under a LaScala, right? M
tonynorie
My understanding is that they have an 18" and a 15" both......I haven't seen them in person yet. SOMEBODY must use them?????

lhtf
The KP-480 is an 18" woofer with a 15" passive. These ran about $890 MSRP in the mid 90's. They are a good sub if all you are doing is 3 vocals, acoustic guitar and drums. If you add a bass, I would at least get two of them. I use KP-682's myself, but I run a little bit bigger venues.
