martindemon
I already posted about comething like this but i've decided to analyse deeper the specs of 2 subs because i'll finally buy my home theater friday. Paper, polypropylene? The new Energy s10.2 sub has a polypropylene cone and the "old" e:xl-s12 has a paper cone (i think). What can you tell me about the sound, efficiency, durability, pros, cons? I know that the xl-s12 is quite good (i heard it once) and a lot of people like it. And it does not cost too much. The s10.2 is newer, has an amp as powerful as the s12. Also the s10.2 has a front (dual) port vs the s12 that has a rear one. Did anybody heard the s10.2? ------------------ If it's not broken, don't fix it. martindemon
Is it true that rear ported subs tend to be less directional and blend better with the fronts? In this case that would mean that the xl-s10 or xl-s12 would integrate better than the new model s10.2? ------------------ If it's not broken, don't fix it.
