leerocker
So I know this is not exactly a new topic, but i have been wondering what would make a better center, a KLF-10 or a C7. I've read on here about success stories of turing a klf10 into a center, but is that really better than a C7 and if so, why? are there better components inside a 10? is it the cabinet size? I currently have KLF10 - C7 - KLF10 up front and have been thinking about the benefits of switching out the C7. Plus, they are in heavy demand right now and could almost get a pair of 10s for the price of 1 C7, resulting in (sort of), a free speaker to use as a rear center. Interference and space are not issues for me. Any advice is as always, greatly appreciated.

DrWho
Well another KLF-10 converted into a center should be a better timbre match than the C7. Can you use just a stock KLF-10 in the middle as a center, or you planning on turning it sideways? There might be some increased off-axis lobing issues introduced by the larger drivers (10" versus 8").
leerocker
Well at first i would just stand it upright in the center underneath my projector screen. ideally though eventually i would convert it to a center.
DrWho
well ideal for acoustics would be vertical under the screen [] Sounds like a fun project.
