milton10
I am currently running a pair of Heresy's with a HK430. The sound is very nice, but I have an opportunity to get a humongo Kenwood KR-9600. Would this make a good combo? Or should I keep the 430? I am tempted with the Kenwood due to the difference in power (160 wpc vs 25 wpc).
Guest Anonymous
I use a kenwood kr-6600, 60 wpc with my heresy's sounds really good. I would think that the 9600 would sound damn good, 160 wpc is a lot of power.
ben.
The 430 is a nice piece. Does it not drive the H's loud enough for you?
hammertop
If it were me, I'd go for it but keep the HK. also!
milton10
The HK drives them very well. Nice and loud. I was wondering if the extra headroom from the Kenwood would make a difference. I just watched a Sophia Electric EL84 just go for under $500 on ebay - got me drooling. Anyone ever listen to one of these? By the way, I am keeping the HK regardless.
