metlgod
I am thinking of getting the R-5800 In_Wall series for a new home theater I am currently building. I have exactly 3.75 inches from the foundation wall to the face of the drywall. My question is: Will they fit or is it too tight? The specs say 3.75" mounting depth. Is there any play? thanks chris
tigerwoodKhorns
I'm sure that your measurements are right but you should have 4". A 2 x 4 is 3.5" deep and 1/2" of drywall should yield 4". Worst case you can just make a 1/4" spacer out of wood (or carefully remove teh drywall and use 3/4" wood as a spacer).
metlgod
I used inch and five-eigths metal studs so I am screwed on depth. I am thinking of boxing out the area to bring it off the wall.
