Big Tooms
I am in the market for some Flat Panel Speakers. When I went to a local Klipsch dealer I hear a huge Audio hole from the SLX's and the sub. I think it is with all flat panel type speakers. I wanted to put a plasma on the wall w/ sexy flat panel speakers but, I cannot get buy the hole on the sound. Am I crazy?? I have a 2nd home theater w/ KG 5.5's, KV 3, KG .5's and KSW 15. I think I am spoiled. Is there a way to fill the hole??
DrWho
Well the SLX speakers are rated down to 80Hz, so with the proper settings on the receiver I'm sure the hole would be fillable. You will probably need to put the crossover above 80Hz (like 90 or maybe 100). Phase and relative sub level will play an important factor too. Big Tooms
Dr Who, Won't there be an issue w/ the sub's higher frequencies being directional??? No fan of that either. Tooms
DrWho
It can be minimized by having the subwoofer close to the mains (like directly beneath them).
