Good2BHome
From the physical stand point is the K-401 a direct "drop-in" for the K-400 in a LaScala? Mike
Guest " "
I'm looking a a set of K-401's, K-400's as well as some HD-350's right now, they are all interchangeable.
Frzninvt
While they are certainly all interchangeable the angle bracket in the rear that supports the horn may have to be relocated/mounted depending on the vintage of the La Scala. I had to move it some when I put the K-401K in my '78 La Scala center speaker. There are slight variations to the K-400 rear bracket mounts. The Speakerlab HD-350's look indentical to the K-400's and in some cases the casting is thicker.
Good2BHome
Thanks for the replies!! I'm thinking about building a version of the CornScala on the cheap and there are some LaScala Pro housings for the tweeter and mid on eBay. My next question would be: How wide and long is the K-401 (without the driver attached)? Mike
