Are the RW-10/12 a considerable improvement over KSW10/!2?

I'm wondering as they appear to be seperated by quite a few differences (down firing/front firing) digital, etc. Has anyone heard them both that can vouch for the difference? I would love a new sub for my RF82/RC62/RB61 combo, but It has set me back a bit so I can't jump at a sub just yet. I have had no major complaints with the KSW12 either..

The down or front firing has little to do with te gains. The RW series use more capable woofers, driven by more powerful amplification and installed in more solid cabinets. The end result is above all less sound coloration(a definite plus) and more output where it counts, below 35hz.

SO yes I would say the RW subs, and the Sub series(direct KSW replacements) are a real and substantial improvements overall.
