leerocker
What are the white dots on the speaker surround? is it the early stages of some form of rot? Thanks for any info!
DrWho
Are the dots sorta like gelatin / semihard glue? If so, that's pretty normal and is even something you'll see on new speakers. The glue just gets worked a bit as the speaker gets older and is dirtier too, making it more noticeable.
leerocker
They dont have any consistency really, you can pass your finger right over them and if your eyes were closed youd never know when you were touching them. I didnt think it was anything to worry about, as there is absolutely no sound degradation, just the slight discoloration. Thanks!
