Maxer Posted December 5, 2001 Share Posted December 5, 2001 I searched the boards and didn't see anything that seemed to answer my question, although I did see many topics about hissing. Anyway, the hissing comes from the front and rear left Promedia 4.1 speakers. Now when I go into volume control and mute the CD Audio the hiss stops Anyway I'm not sure where to start working to trace this thing down. I have SB Live 5.1 Plat, running Windows 2000. I decided to go back and check things one last time and realized that when I upgraded my SB Live drivers it for some reason set my recording input to feed from the CD Audio channel...
