Bohemian_Rhapsody
Hi, I damaged my 4.1s yesterday by playing really loud... though only for 1 min. Anyways, the damage is done and here are the symptoms; The sound is perfectly okay at normal listening levels but the amp clips if i turn it up loud or if a heavy bass note plays at normal listening levels. I am guessing that the power supply has weakened. Since the set is out of warranty, i opened it up and noticed nothing unusual except for the R25 resistor which looks almost fried. I have attached a picture of the resistor which I coincidentaly took two days before I ran into problems. The lines on the resistor are burnt beyond recognition, any help will be appreciated. /Emaad Rafi
Ptron
Sounds like a blown speaker to me. Try each speaker individually. If you find a bad one, try it with a couple different speaker outs.
Ptron
Oh. I now see in another thread that yours has now died alltogether. Nevermind.
