MatrixDweller
I'm about to build some stands for my RB-81's. I was wondering if anyone knew the exact engineering specs of the holes placement (dimensions) on the speaker's bottom? I'm also wondering where the center of gravity is? I noticed that the threads seem to not be located right in the center, they are more towards the rear, of the speaker so it has me wondering. colterphoto1
I could get them with some digging, but wouldn't it be a whole lot more accurate to just get the speakers home and then whittle the stands for them?
MatrixDweller
I've got time on my hands at the moment so I'd like to have the stands built before I get the speakers home. Know what I mean?

Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted April 5, 2007 Klipsch Employees Share Posted April 5, 2007 Ok, here is what I have found. From the outside back of the cabinet the center of the back tiedown insert is 103.6mm. The 2nd tiedown insert is 42.4mm from the center of the first tiedown or 103.6 + 42.4 = 146mm from the back of the cabinet.

colterphoto1
Those specs are saved on our Customer Service drive now so anyone here at Klipsch can access them. Thanks Trey! M
