TimIM21000
Hey, I was wondering what the best crossover frequency for my setup. I have an RW-10, two RB-25, RC 3 II, and two smaller surround speakers all paired with a Pioneer VSX-d912 receiver. My receiver only has 3 settings for crossover: 100, 150, and 200. Which one should I choose? Thanks.
wuzzzer
80Hz is the THX standard. Since that isn't available I'd try 100Hz. Anything much higher than that and the result will be boomy bass (almost getting to mid-bass) and the sound coming from the subwoofer will be much easier to localize. TimIM21000
Great, thanks. I really wish my receiver had more options, but I'll set it to 100.
MatrixDweller
Can you disable the cross-over (ie: so everything is passed to the speakers and sub) and then just adjust the frequency cut-off on the RW10 to 80Hz?
