Watson
I am in need of a pair of speaker stands for some RB-61s I will be picking up later this week and was interested in what you guys would recommend using. I would like to keep the stands under the $150 for the pair. The RB-61s will be used as rear surrounds so the taller the better...I have been looking online at various stands however, I thought it would be best to gather a few opinions before I decide to buy anything. Watson
Link This is my current favorite, however, I was wondering if the 6" plate was too small for the RB-61s?
WS65711
I'm not sure if the RB61's have a mounting hole on the bottom side like my RB75's have. I use the Sanus Steel Foundations for my RB75's as were recommended in the attached link. The RB75's attach firmly to the stands using the mounitng hole and are very stable once attached. I have one pair of 22" and one pair of 26" stands. http://archive2.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=626799&highlight=rb75+stand
Watson
Yeah I found the 36" Stands on B&H for $97 shipped versus Sanus list price of $109, so I think I will order through them. They look pretty solid and I have not seen much in regards to complaints against them.
WS65711
That is a very good price if it is for the "Sanus Steel Foundations". The steel foundations are what I have, and those are the only ones I can personally vouch for as to construction and stability. []
